SUMMARY:Kokoda Classic Charity Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Event Format\nThe 2016 event is to be held on Sunday the 14th of August. \nAll events will start at the Southport Surf Life Saving Club (MacArthur Parade\, Main Beach QLD 4217) and finish at the Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club. \n•  5km community walk\n•  5km run for Junior Boys/Girls (Under 14)\n•  5km run for Men/Women (14 and Over)\n•  10km run\n•  15km run\n•  15km team consisting of 3 individual runners per team – all completing the 15km run\n•  21km Extreme Half-Marathon \n6.00am  Registration desk opens\n7.30am  Half-marathon start\n7.45am   15km run start\n7.50am   Community Walk (5km) start\n8.00am  10km run start\n8.05am   5km run start\n8.15am    Relay (Surf Clubs) start\n10.30am Service and Awards at the Kokoda Memorial Wall\, Cascade Gardens\, Broadbeach. \nThere will be drink stations along the beach\, music and stalls at the finish and the event will culminate in the prize presentations and a short memorial service at the Rotary Kokoda Memorial Wall at Cascade Gardens later in the morning. \nFREE transport back to the start point\, courtesy of Surfside Buslines\, which has kindly provided this service in support of our events since 2008. \nOffline Registration & Early Collection of Kits\nOffline Registration and Early Collection of Runner’s Kit Bags Including Bibs and Timing Devices\, is available at the Southport Surf Lifesaving Club\, Macarthur Parade\, Main Beach at the Following Times: \n\nFriday 12 August 2016  from 11.00am to 6.00pm\nSaturday 13 August from 9.00am to 4.00pm\nSunday 14 August from 6.00am to 07.00am\n\nFund Recipients\nFunds raised from the event will be used to support Rotary charity activities within our local community including Legacy\, Soldier On Australia\, and Nippers of the Gold Coast. \nDownload a shareable Fact Sheet – KPMG Rotary Kokoda Beach Classic 2016 \n
