I love to go to Byron Bay in Northern NSW when I was last there I was able to go up inside the light house.
The view from the top is unbelievable. We are not able to up past the big light as it contains mercury and the public cannot go near it.
While I was there we saw a pod of whales close into the rocks and everyone rushed outside to catch an even closer look at them.
The lighthouse is looked after by volunteers who conduct guided tours during the weekends. They only take 10 people at a time but the guide took me.
