This year I was invited to join the Long Road walk to help raise money for extra support for children in foster care.
Every more and more children are placed into foster care, some for a short time sadly some for long periods of time. These children need extra special love and support.
The organization is always calling for volunteers who will be matched with a child who you will visit once a week to read books, play games and to just have fun with these special children.
This truly is a rewarding experience for the volunteer and for the child that they are matched up with.
